News and Notes from Around the League

- There are 20 teams in contention for the Super Bowl right now. This is the most since the new schedule (16 games) in 1978. The previous high was 19 in 2002.

- 3 clubs have receiving duos with 80 or more catches. The league record is 5 teams, and that could be reached this week. (Cincy, Indy and St. Louis are in, Lions and Jets are close)

- Brett Favre is one win away from tying second all time with John Elway for most career wins. (Marino 148, Elway 147, Favre 146)

- 19 RB's have gained 1,000 yards or more, 5 more are within reach. The league record of 23 RB's with over 1,000 yards could be broken this weekend.
